Do's & don'ts

Hey guys! Mike here and i hope you're doing real good.

I was down in London for my little surprise trip away. It was real nice. I've been down to London many times but i haven't done the whole tourist gig for a long time and i forgot how fabulous the city is. I went to see the Queen, went on the London eye and even had a few cheeky one's in Soho (That's beer's by the way).

As promised, I've put together a little treat for you on do's & don'ts on keeping fit, health and well. This is just part 1 of my do's and don't post; the points are real simple, but when done consistently over time they will have a MASSIVE positive impact on your health & fitness.

Enjoy, but make sure you action these points.....

Don't
1.Be too ambitious
We have all done it; "i'm going on holiday next Friday and i need to loose a stone!"get real! Be honest with yourself ans set small achievable goals that will help keep yo motivated.
2.Be Lazy
Take action! Want to do anything in life you need to be action orientated and this applies to becoming fit and health. Just do a bit at a time and it will soon become less of a chore as you see and feel improvements.
3.Work through pain.
It's often said "no Pain no gain" but don't be fooled into thinking you have to work through pain. If you are experiencing consistent lasting pain in your joints, muscles or tendons, stop and seek advice from a  physio.  Pilates which is a great form of exercise for rehabilitation and toning will have huge benefits for combating back pain.Click here to see the Optimum Health Pilates timetable for a class to suit you.
4. Stress Out.
Keep calm and relax. Many believe you can reduce your weight by being stressed, but having lots of stress in your life hinders your ability to drop weight/fat. If you want to shift those extra pounds, try reducing the amount of stresses in your life. The results will be amazing!

Do's
5.Keep it simple
There is no need to get complex and all technical when it come's to exercise. Just do what you can, when you can this is often the best way to make exercise habitual.
6.Have variety in what you do
When it come's to diet and exercise doing the same thing is often the cause of many peoples failure, variety IS the spice of life so try to make sure you change things up both with your diet and exercise plan.
7.Have greens every day
I know that this seasons color is red, but i'm telling you that green is best. Having a leafy green veg in your diet every day is key to maintaining good health & vitality. They are quite literally 'super foods' packed full of goodness. Brocolli, spinach, are just 2 examples . Try having something green on most days if not every day.
8.Seek PROFESSIONAL HELP
When you are looking to improve your Health & Fitness, it's good to hear the advice of an expert. If you're ill, see a doctor, if you have dental issues, see a dentist; if you want to get fit & health see a fitness professional. A good fitness professional will give you sound advice and recommend  other specialist who can help in areas beyond their scope.i.e a Nutritional therapist or Life coach.
